Mr. Miller is a serial entrepreneur with a special emphasis on bio and sustainable technologies. Prior to BT, he cofounded and was CEO of Terresolve Technologies, Ltd. An environmentally safe chemical products company. He led the organization from start-up until his exit, creating a multimillion dollar highly profitable, global industry leader. He has engineered, sold and marketed environmentally acceptable lubricants and base oils for over 30 years. Mr. Miller has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from Manhattan College. He also sits on the Board for The National Foundation For Animal Rescue (NAFFAR) and he and his wife, Shari, have adopted more than their share of homeless critters.
John Glushik most recently served as the Managing Director of the Duke Angel Network and General Partner at Intersouth Partners. John’s work has covered all aspects of venture investment and portfolio management. He has 19 years of experience leading venture financings and managing successful liquidity events. John was an active member of the Research Triangle entrepreneurial community, serving on the boards of the North Carolina Council for Entrepreneurial Development, the Southern Capital Forum, the Florida Venture Forum, and a chairman of the Atlanta Venture Forum. He holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering and materials science from Duke University, an M.S. in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Maslowski is the latest addition to the Biosynthetic Technologies Board of Directors. Currently, Joe is responsible for the overall operational and financial management at Roetzel and Andress. He is an experienced operational and financial manager in both privately held and publicly traded organizations, specializing in service-based businesses and light manufacturing. He began his career as an auditor for an international public accounting firm. Prior to Roetzel, he spent a considerable amount of time performing corporate development as well as driving restructuring initiatives for an international and a regional privately held company. Joe has been directly involved in the negotiation of multi-million dollar acquisitions, divestitures, and financings, and has provided consulting to early stage companies as well as driving strategic planning initiatives. As an active member in the community, he has served on a number of community, professional, and privately held boards and has made numerous presentations regarding financial management, shareholder value creation, and corporate development.
